This tee, “PLAYFUL”, celebrates and uplifts the radical act of joy in the African American community. African Americans have faced and continue to face unjust systems of this world. It is important for all of us to remember to take time for deep expressions of joy and celebrate life.

This image is from the Viola Charlton Collection (1944-1997) which is credited on the right sleeve. The original photo is at the Christiansburg Institute Museum & Archives (CIMA).
